A Motown recording artist who began writing music at age 14 and, by the mid 60s, when many seminal Motown artists had moved to the Los Angeles area to record their albums, Richard Glasser played and recorded with the MoWest group of studio players.
Since then, Richard Glasser has enjoyed a highly successful career in the music and film industries and is now the Head of Music at The Weinstein Company. In addition to his work on the film Crash, which received the Academy Award for Best Picture, Mr. Glasser has also served as Music Supervisor for major motion pictures such as Hostage, starring Bruce Willis; Painted Veil, starring Ed Norton and Naomi Watts; The Illusionist; Kickin' It Old Skool, starring Jamie Kennedy; First Snow, starring Guy Pearce; Gray Matters, starring Heather Graham; Find Me Guilty, starring Vin Diesel; and Even Money, starring Danny DeVito.
Richard Glasser, along with the original Wrecking Crew from Motown, recently released two albums for the APM Music library, Sonoton -Classic Soul Funk Jams (SCD 837) and Classic Motor City Jams (SCDV 178).
