Michael Raphael

His professional music career began in San Francisco in 1985 when his first band caught the attention of legendary rock icon, Ronnie Montrose, who went on to produce their music.

Relocating to Los Angeles in 1988, he started the band Jailhouse which was instantly signed to Capitol Records and whose videos are still in rotation on VH1 Classic today.

In 1999, he worked with industry veteran Randy Jackson, who signed his next band, Neve, to Columbia Records. Neve landed several spots on major national tours supporting top acts like KISS, Duran Duran, Rage Against The Machine, and The Black Crowes, just to name a few. Neve scored a hit on the Billboard charts with the song, "It's Over Now."

As a songwriter and producer, he then began securing work with high-profile TV productions which eventually led to working with Disney/Hollywood Records and projects that included records for Hannah Montana and the Disney Mania Records.

The success of these projects paved the way for further production and songwriting work with artists like Busted, which went platinum.

As a composer, he has written music that can be heard in over 20,000 mainstream TV shows, commercials, and films. These include the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Thor: Love and Thunder and the Netflix hit series, Stranger Things, as well as the popular CBS show, The Price is Right.

His latest project includes working on the new Nike ad for the 2022 World Cup called Footballverse.

In 2023, he was invited to record his guitars on a new Busted greatest hits record, which included a new recording of "3AM" with Special Guest James Arthur. The record charted at number one on the Billboard charts.
