While classically trained from the age of 5 and having a background as a successful pop/dance music producer and session musician, Ian Livingstone is able to shift comfortably from big powerful symphonic scores with full orchestra to cutting edge electronica. He has composed scores for numerous television series on ITV, BBC and Channels 4 and 5, including the BBC's Francesco's Mediterranean Voyage and Channel 4's recent cutting-edge series Daredevils. He composed the score for the film The King Maker, and recently contributed to Julian Barratt's movie Curtains. He also worked in the music team for the Warner blockbuster Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. TV adverts includeO2, Mars, National Lottery, Barclays and BBC HD.
Before launching his career as a composer, Ian cut his teeth as a session musician and recorded and toured Europe with a number of successful bands. He is also well-known for his work composing for video games for the likes of Fox, Disney and Electronic Arts, with titles such as Batman Begins, Battlefield 1943, Race Driver: GRID, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, Lego Harry Potter, Star Trek: Invasion, X2: Wolverine's Revenge, Predator: Concrete Jungle and Gotham Racing 2.
